Pursuant to Florida Statutes, Chapter 287.055 (Consultants Competitive Negotiations Act) and Tamarac City Code, Section 6-151(2), Professional Services. The City of Tamarac seeks to identify firms with substantial experience and capabilities to propose Design / Build Services regarding the project outlined in the RFP documents. This proposal is issued pursuant to and governed by the laws of the State of Florida, Article VII “Financial Procedures,” Section 7.11, “Requirements for Public Bidding, of the City of Tamarac Charter; and Chapter 6 “Finance and Taxation”, Article V, the Tamarac Procurement Code. The City of Tamarac is seeking to engage qualified firms to submit proposals (RFQ’s) for the Design/Build of the Caporella Park Overflow Parking Lot Project. The proposed project site will include the development of existing off-site parcels located at 2400 NW 53rd street (City owned parcels, see site map attached herein as Exhibit 1), with a proposed new overflow parking lot to service existing Caporella Park, with a dedicated Right-of-Way crosswalk and advanced RRFB warning systems, security lighting & fencing, pavement markings and signage. The proposed project site is /- 45,983 square feet (1.06 acres). The general scope of the project includes the following components: Complete removal of all pertinent materials (above and below ground) and appurtenances necessary to prepare site for proposed modifications; The design/build of City owned vacant parcels located at 2400 NW 53rd street, Tamarac, FL. 33309 to include ADA compliant overflow parking with associated drainage modifications, dedicated right-of-way crosswalk and advanced RRFB warning systems (to cross Prospect Road at Caporella Park entrance), security lighting, signage, and fiber network infrastructures facilities (powered fiber connections & infrastructure, security/wifi poles, video surveillance, etc.); Temporary sanitary facilities and controls necessary to perform the work, ensuring safe, proper access and use of the adjacent site, and surrounding areas by the public and City staff. Temporary facilities shall be maintained diligently and routinely; All design, permitting, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, communications, fire, civil infrastructure and appurtenances necessary for a complete turnkey project; Work shall be completed in accordance with the latest editions of all codes/regulations, including but not limited to, Federal, State, Florida Building Code, City of Tamarac Land Development Code, City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances and Broward County Code of Ordinances; Sanitary sewer, potable water and storm-water drainage infrastructure is currently available adjacent to the existing project site; however, this infrastructure may need to be extended, expanded, rerouted and/or relocated as necessary for the design/build services on proposed overflow parking lot and associated appurtenances.
