Sealed Bids, addressed to the Sr. Procurement Specialist of the City of Tamarac, Broward County, Florida, will be received electronically via the City’s encrypted procurement management system, bids&tendersTM until 3:00 PM local time, June 25, 2024 for: 24-22B - WATER TREATMENT PLANT EMERGENCY GREENLEAF FILTER MEDIA REHABILITATION PROJECT The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting Bids from qualified Contractors for the Water Treatment Plant Emergency Greenleaf Filter Media Rehabilitation Project, RFP No. 24-22B. The project is located within the City of Tamarac’s Water Treatment Plant Facility at 7803 NW 61st Street, Tamarac, Florida, 33321 (see attached Attachment A – Location Map). The work shall include but is not limited to removal and disposal of existing filter media and damaged support structures, furnishing & installing new filter media (underdrain system), as applicable, surface preparation & repairs, surface coatings, and associated work required to complete this project in accordance with the Contract Documents and specifications listed herein. The City has declared this project to be an emergency procurement, as the project delivery must be expedited in order for the City’s Water Treatment Plant to remain in statutory compliance with requirements for the operation of the Water Treatment Plant under Florida Statute. The work includes all professional services, labor, equipment, materials, insurance, obtaining all applicable permits, necessary supervision, and incidentals to complete the project as specified herein. All proposed work shall be completed in accordance with the project documents, plans, details, technical specifications / scope of work and all applicable federal, state, county, and local regulatory requirements. A Site Visit will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, @ 10:30AM Eastern Local Time, at the Water Treatment Plant Facility at 7803 NW 61st, Tamarac, 33321. Please note that this meeting will be recorded and uploaded to Bids&Tenders but it is highly encouraged that all parties interested in bidding on this project should attend this meeting. Sealed Bids must be received electronically via the City’s encrypted procurement management system, bids&tendersTM on or before the date and time referenced above. Any Bids received after 3:00 PM on said date will not be accepted under any circumstances. Any uncertainty regarding the time a Bid is received will be resolved against the Bidder. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in any Bids received, to re-advertise for Bids, to award in whole or in part to one or more Bidders or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interests of the City.
