RFP NO. 26-26R -- DESIGN-BUILD OF THE EASTSIDE COMMUNITY PARK PROJECT

The City of Tamarac is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the Design/Build of the Eastside Community Park Project. The project site consists of approximately 2.35 acres, located at 5699 W. Commercial Boulevard, Tamarac, FL 33321 (see Location Map, Attachment 1). The parcel is situated between Commercial Boulevard (south) and Canterbury Lane (north), just east of The Common, within the Shaker Village community.

The project will include, at minimum, the following elements: a multi-story 10,000 SF community center as defined in the design criteria package; a 10-foot-wide walking path with benches; a 20-foot pavilion; tennis court; basketball court; covered playground with associated play equipment; observation deck; fishing pier; trash receptacles; artwork slab; monument and digital informational kiosk sign(s); as well as video surveillance, security system, access controls, Wi-Fi, fiber network infrastructure, and other associated IT components as outlined in Exhibit B – Technology Requirements. The scope of services shall include preparation of a detailed cost estimate by division and construction schedule, development of design renderings and design plans showing proposed layouts, preparation of construction documents and product specifications w/ associated warranties, coordination of permitting, and completion of all construction activities necessary to deliver the Eastside Community Park Project in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements as mentioned here-in and as requested as part of this Request for Proposal (RFP).

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on Monday March 23, 2026 @ 10:00 AM Eastern Local Time via Microsoft Teams at the link shown on the cover page of the Bid Document. Please note that this meeting will be recorded and uploaded to Bids&Tenders but it is highly encouraged that all parties interested in bidding on this project attend this meeting. 

Sealed Proposals must be received electronically via the City’s encrypted procurement management system, bids&tenders^TM on or before 3:00 PM ET, Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Any proposals received after this date and time will not be accepted under any circumstances. Any uncertainty regarding the time a Bid is received will be resolved against the Proposer. Local Tamarac Vendors, Broward County Certified Business Entities, Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, Veteran-Owned and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any proposals received, to re-advertise for proposals, to award in whole or in part to one or more proposers or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interests of the City.
