DESIGN-BUILD WESTSIDE DOG PARK OFF NW 108TH TERRACE PROJECT

 

The City of Tamarac is seeking to engage qualified firms to submit proposals (RFP) for the Design-Build of the Westside Dog Park project off NW 108th Terrace. The project site is approximately 0.55 acres, located within an existing City owned parcel along NW 108th Terrace, south of the Sanibel Recreation Center & Club House and west of the Devon community (refer to Attachment 1 - Site map attached herein). The proposed elements include a fenced area for both large and small dogs (separate areas),  5-foot concrete walking path, water fountain for dogs, pet disposal stations, 2 covered/shaded benches, trash receptacles, landscaping, signage, video surveillance, Wifi and other associated elements. This project includes developing cost estimates with product specifications, design plans with details, permitting, and construction in accordance with the terms, conditions and requirements contained in this Request for Proposal (RFP).

 

The Contractor shall furnish all design and construction, including labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, manufactured articles, furnishing all transportation and services, including fuel, power, water, essential communications, etc., as necessary to complete the project, as indicated in the Special Conditions, Special Provisions, Project Design Plans, Technical Specifications and RFP No. 25-16R as may be included in documents herein, along with all engineering, shop drawings, and other documentation necessary to obtain all applicable permits and all bonds, securities, licenses and insurance to complete the project as specified herein and within the Project Design Plans. All proposed improvements shall be completed in accordance with the project bid documents, design plans, details, technical specifications/scope of work and all applicable federal, state, county and local regulatory requirements. 

 

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM via Microsoft Teams at the link shown on the cover page of the Bid Document. 

 

Sealed Proposals must be received electronically via the City’s encrypted procurement management system, bids&tendersTM on or before 3:00 PM local time, Friday, June 6th, 2025. Any proposals received after 3:00 PM on said date will not be accepted under any circumstances. Any uncertainty regarding the time a Bid is received will be resolved against the Proposer. Local Tamarac Vendors, Broward County Certified Business Entities, Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, Veteran-Owned and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.

 

City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any proposals received, to re-advertise for proposals, to award in whole or in part to one or more proposers or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interests of the City.
